The Real Problem: Too Many Choices
A huge library feels great… until it turns into decision paralysis.
Instead of trying to perfectly categorize everything, use a system that’s easy to maintain.
Step 1: Create 5 Simple Collections
Start with:
- Playing Now (max 3 games)
- Next Up (max 5 games)
- Chill / Cozy
- Competitive / Ranked
- Co-op With Friends
Everything else can stay un-sorted.
Step 2: Add a "One Evening" Tag
Some games are great but hard to start. Make it easy:
- Add a collection for One Evening (short sessions)
That’s your default when you don’t know what to play.
Step 3: The Weekly Reset
Once a week:
- Move one game out of Next Up into Playing Now
- Remove anything you’re not excited to launch
The Rule
If it takes effort to maintain, you won’t maintain it.
Simple systems win.
