What Is the Galactic Chance Event in Monopoly GO?
The Galactic Chance event replaces standard Chance tiles with a special deck of themed cards. Each time you land on a Chance tile during the event, you'll draw from this deck, encountering various effects that can significantly impact your gameplay.
Key Cards and Their Effects
Carbonite (Escape Jail): Freezes your token in carbonite, sending you to Jail. You have three chances to roll a double to escape; success grants you 3x the number on one die. Failure requires paying a "Bounty" to get back on the board.
Force Lightning (Zap Rent): This powerful card unleashes a lightning strike on all Rent targets on the board. You get free dice rolls for each Rent tile hit, multiplied by your current dice multiplier in Monopoly GO. It doesn’t matter if you have hotels or houses, all rents are zapped.
Force Pull: Draws the two closest Milestone event pickups directly to your token, allowing instant collection and point gains. Note: Only functions if pickups are available on the board.
Deflector Shield: Provides Shields up to your maximum limit. If your shield bar is already full, additional shields convert into bonus rolls.
Galactic Tax: Unlike the other reward-focused cards, the "Galactic Tax" card results in a deduction of cash from your bank. The amount of cash lost is directly proportional to your current roll multiplier. This card functions similarly to landing on one of the standard Tax tiles on the board.

Like many new features in Monopoly GO, the Galactic Chance flash event may still be in a testing phase, meaning it might not be available to all players just yet. Until it’s officially rolled out, Scopely could tweak the cards or event mechanics at any time.
