I’m planning to upgrade my parents' two-storey home so they can age in place safely. Stairs are getting harder for them, but we don’t want to move or undergo heavy construction.
A friend recommended Nibav home lifts—apparently, they’re self-supporting and don’t need a pit or shaft, which reduces construction time drastically. What I like is the focus on safety: automatic emergency descent, backup power, door interlocks, and even something called a "Rapid Rescue Latch" for manual evacuation.
We’re looking for something low-maintenance, quiet, and stylish enough to not make the home feel clinical. Any advice or shared experiences?
